Chess Jakobs leads the philanthropic and social impact initiatives at Culture Amp. At the core of their work is a collectivist, forward-moving theory of change that seeks to engage resource redirection, cultural competence, and equitable design.
Chess’s current philanthropic endeavors focus on climate and environmental justice. Chess is affiliated with People over Plastic, Girl Plus Environment, and Black in Environment as a strategic advisor, board member, and organizer, respectively. Formerly, Chess was the Chair of the Advisory Board at Broadway Dreams Foundation, Former LGBTQ+ Relations Chair for BLK Men in Tech, and former member of the Governing Board of the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance at the University of Michigan. Chess holds a degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.
