Senior People Scientist, Culture Amp
Heather Walker, Ph.D., is a Senior People Scientist at Culture Amp, supporting customers in North America. Heather received her Ph.D. in Disability Studies and MS in Disability and Human Development from the University of Illinois Chicago. Her dissertation focused on politicized community narratives, action planning, and execution across social media platforms.
In previous roles, Heather’s work has taken a systems approach to work culture - mainly in healthcare and academia. She has partnered with senior leaders to survey, uncover insights, and create action around improving remote work experience, employee engagement, retention, and wellness.
Before coming to Culture Amp, Heather taught courses at the University level on accessibility, universal design, social justice, and DEI principles.
Heather’s interests and speaking topics include: access as a major issue facing workplaces today, DEI, change management, community and belonging, and wellbeing at work.
